Arvato to Manage European E-fulfilment for Rituals Cosmetics

Rituals Cosmetics is the first brand in the world to combine Home & Body Cosmetics. With a wide product line that covers everything from body care, skin care, and precious mineral make-up to pure tea, scented candles, fragrance sticks and “soulwear,” the brand transforms everyday routines into meaningful moments. Each of the company’s 400-plus products is inspired by ancient Eastern traditions. The opening of the very first store on Amsterdam’s Kalverstraat in 2000 was followed by openings in vibrant cities such as London, Madrid, Antwerp, Lisbon, Berlin, Stockholm, São Paulo and even New York. The luxury brand now has over 350 stores, more than 1000 shop-in-shops and five City Spas in eighteen different countries worldwide. The company also supplies specially designed amenities to over 850 boutique hotels in 16 different countries. Rituals Cosmetics created its Travel Retail division in 2012. Since then it has seen a rapid expansion in its duty-free, airline, cruise-liner and ferry sales as well as in-hotel sales.

The first orders were transferred from the Rituals web shop into the Arvato SAP last year. Now Arvato manages the B2C distribution of Rituals’ products from the central warehouse in Venray (NL) to 23 European countries including the UK, France and Germany. Arvato is also responsible for the transport management and dangerous goods handling for forward and reverse logistics. Furthermore, two Arvato call centers in Hannover (GER) and Venlo (NL) are integrated in the solution to help end customers with their requests. Customers can choose between various optional services like giftwrapping or the inclusion of a greeting card. The personalized greeting card is printed on demand in the warehouse and is included in the customer’s parcel.

The partnership between Arvato and Rituals has been very successful and additional opportunities for cooperation are being reviewed.
